1st Mystery - The Agony of Our Lord Jesus in the Garden

 

We offer Thee, O Lord Jesus this decade, in honor of Thy mortal Agony in the Garden of Olives and we ask of Thee, through this mystery and through the intercession of Thy Blessed Mother, perfect sorrow for our sins and the virtue of perfect obedience to Thy Holy Will.

2nd Mystery - The Scourging of Jesus at the Pillar

 

We offer Thee, O Lord Jesus this decade, in honor of Thy Scouring and we ask of Thee, through this mystery and through the intercession of Thy Blessed Mother, the grace to mortify our senses completely.

 

Our Father

They had Jesus bound and handed him over to Pilate. Pilate questioned him, 'Are you the king of the Jews?' (Mark 15: 1-2) Hail Mary

 

Jesus replied, "Mine is not a kingdom of this world; but yes, I am a king." (John 18: 36-37) Hail Mary

 

"I came into the world for this: to bear witness to the truth; and all who are on the side of truth listen to my voice." (John 18: 37) Hail Mary

3rd Mystery - The Crowning with Thorns

 

We offer Thee, O Lord Jesus this decade, in honor of Thy cruel crowning with thorns, and we ask of Thee, through this mystery and through the intercession of Thy Blessed Mother, a great contempt of the world.

 

Our Father

The soldiers led him away to the Praetorium. Then they stripped him and dressed him up in purple. (Mark 15:16-17, Matthew 27:28) Hail Mary

 

And having twisted some thorns into a crown they put this on his head and placed a reed in his right hand. (Matthew 27:29) Hail Mary

 

To make fun of him they knelt to him saying, "Hail, king of the Jews!" (Matthew 27:29) Hail Mary

Then Pilate took some water, washed his hands in front of the crowd and said, "I am innocent of this man's blood. It is your concern." (Matthew 27:24) Hail Mary

4th Mystery - The Carrying of the Cross

 

We offer Thee, O Lord Jesus this decade, in honor of Thy carrying Thy cross and we ask of Thee, through this mystery and through the intercession of Thy Blessed Mother, to give us great patience in carrying our cross in Thy footsteps every day of our lives.

 

Our Father

"If anyone wants to be a follower of mine, let him renounce himself." (Luke 9:23) Hail Mary

5th Mystery - The Crucifixion of Jesus

 

We offer Thee, O Lord Jesus this decade, in honor of Thy Crucifixion on Mount Calvary, and we ask of Thee, through this mystery and through the intercession of Thy Blessed Mother, a great horror of sin, a love of the Cross and the grace of a holy death for us and for those who are now in their last agony.

 

Our Father

When they reached the place called The Skull, they crucified him. (Luke 23:33) Hail Mary

 

Jesus said, "Father, forgive them; they do not know what they are doing." (Luke 23:34) Hail Mary

Hail, holy Queen, mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope. To you we cry, poor banished children of Eve; to you we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn, then, most gracious advocate, your eyes of mercy toward us; and after this, our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of your womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.

Prayer To St. Joseph

Dear Lady of Perpetual Help, Spotless Mother of God, we choose Thee as the Mistress and Lady of this House. Guard it, dearest Mother, from pestilence, lightning, fire and tempest, from earthquake, hurricanes, schisms and heresies, and the malice of enemies (include other petitions of protection specific to you and family members- impurity, air raids, depression, drug addiction, anger, famine...). Protect those who dwell herein most loving Mother, watch over their going out and coming in, and preserve them from sudden death. August Queen of Heaven

August Queen of the Heavens, heavenly Sovereign of the Angels, Thou who from the beginning hast received from God the power and the mission to crush the head of Satan, we humbly beseech Thee to send thy holy legions, so that under Thy command and through Thy power, they may pursue the demons and combat them everywhere, suppress their boldness, and drive them back into the abyss. O good and tender Mother, Thou wilt always be our love and hope! O Divine Mother, send Thy Holy Angels to defend us and to drive far away from us the cruel enemy. Consecration of a Family to the Mother of God

O Blessed Virgin, Immaculate Queen of Heaven, Mother of Sorrows, refuge and comfort of all the afflicted! Kneeling before your throne with all my family, I choose you as our Mistress, Mother, and Advocate with God. I consecrate myself and all belonging to me forever to your service, and I implore you, O Mother of God, to number us among your servants. Take us under your protection, assist us during life and especially at the hour of death. Mother of Mercy, I choose you as the Lady and Mistress of my entire household: my parents, my spouse, my children, my cares, and my duties. Disdain not to take charge of them, and direct everything as seems good to you. Bless us all, and permit not that anyone of us should ever offend your Son. Protect us in temptation, preserve us in danger, help us in trouble, counsel us in doubt, assist us in sickness, and especially at the hour of death. Permit not the evil one to boast that anyone of us now consecrated to you has ever fallen into his net. Prayer for a Catholic Family

God of goodness and mercy, we commend to thy all-powerful protection our home, our family and all that we possess. Bless us all as thou didst bless the holy family of Nazareth.

Prayer for Peace and Unity

Thou seest, Lord, how on every side the storms have broken loose and the seas rage with wildly tossing waves; O do thou, we beseech Thee, who alone canst command the winds and the sea, give back to mankind the true peace which the world cannot give--the tranquility of order. Let all men, by Thy gift and guidance, return to that just order, subjecting their passions to reason, establishing the reign of piety towards God, of justice and charity towards their neighbor, of temperance within themselves. May Thy kingdom come! May those also, who, far away from Thee, vainly seek for truth and salvation, learn to understand the need of serving and obeying Thee.
