1st Mystery – The Annunciation

 

We offer Thee, O Lord Jesus this decade in honor of Thy Incarnation and we ask of Thee, through this mystery and through the intercession of Thy Blessed Mother, a profound humility.

 

Our Father

The Angel Gabriel was sent from God to a virgin and the virgin’s name was Mary. (Lk. 1: 26-27) Hail Mary

 

The angel said to her: “Rejoice O highly favored! The Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women.” (Lk. 1: 28) Hail Mary

She was deeply troubled by his words, and asked herself what his greeting could mean. (Lk. 1: 29) Hail Mary

2nd Mystery – The Visitation

 

We offer Thee, O Lord Jesus this decade in honor of Thy Holy Mother to her cousin Saint Elizabeth, and we ask of Thee through this mystery and through Mary’s intercession, a perfect charity towards our neighbour.

 

Our Father

Mary set out at that time and went to the hill country, And she went into Zechariah’s house and greeted Elizabeth. (Lk. 1: 39-40) Hail Mary

 

Now as soon as Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the child leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. (Lk. 1: 41) Hail Mary

 

She gave a loud cry and said, “Of all women you are the most blessed, and blessed is the Fruit of your womb.” (Lk. 1: 42) Hail Mary

3rd Mystery- The Nativity

 

We offer Thee, O Lord Jesus this decade in honor of Thy Blessed Nativity, and we ask of Thee, through this mystery and through the intercession of Thy Blessed Mother, detachment from things of this world, love of poverty and love of the poor.

 

Our Father

Now while Mary and Joseph were in Bethlehem/ the time came for her to have her child. (Luke 2:6) Hail Mary

 

And she gave birth to a son, her firstborn, and she wrapped him in swaddling clothes. (Lk. 2:7) Hail Mary

 

And she laid him in a manger because there was no room for then at the inn. (Lk. 2:7) Hail Mary

4th Mystery - The Presentation

 

We offer Thee, O Lord Jesus this decade, in honor of Thy Presentation in the temple by the hands of Mary, and we ask of Thee, through this mystery and through the intercession of Thy Blessed Mother, the gift of wisdom and purity of heart and body. 

 

Our Father

Observing the Law of Moses, they took Jesus up to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord. (Luke 2:22) Hail Mary

 

Now in Jerusalem there was a man named Simeon. He was an upright and devout man. (Lk. 2:25) Hail Mary

 

It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death until he had set eyes on the Christ of the Lord. (Lk. 2:26) Hail Mary

 

And when the parents brought in the child Jesus, he took him into his arms/ and blessed God. (Lk. 2: 27-28) Hail Mary

 

"Now, Master, you can let your servant go in peace, just as you promised." (Lk. 2: 29) Hail Mary

5th Mystery - The Finding of Jesus in the Temple

 

We offer Thee, O Lord Jesus this decade, in honor of Thy Finding in the Temple among the learned men by Our Lady, after she had lost Thee, and we ask of Thee, through this mystery and through the intercession of Thy Blessed Mother, to convert all sinners, those who deny the existence of God and those who worship idols.

 

Our Father

When Jesus was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem for the feast of the Passover. (Luke 2: 41-42) Hail Mary

 

When they were on their way home, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem without his parents knowing it. (Lk. 2: 45-46) Hail Mary

 

They went back to Jerusalem looking for him everywhere. Three days later, they found him in the Temple. (Lk. 2: 45-46) Hail Mary

 

He was sitting among the doctors, listening to them, and asking them questions. (Lk. 2: 46) Hail Mary

 

And all those who heard him were astounded at his intelligence and his replies. (Lk. 2: 47) Hail Mary

 

'My child, why have you done this to us? See how worried your father and I have been, looking for you." (Lk. 2: 48) Hail Mary

Hail, holy Queen, mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope. To you we cry, poor banished children of Eve; to you we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn, then, most gracious advocate, your eyes of mercy toward us; and after this, our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of your womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.

O God whose only begotten Son by His Life has purchased for us the rewards of eternal life, Grant that we beseech Thee while meditating upon these mysteries of the Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may both imitate what they contain and obtain what they promise, through the same Christ our Lord Amen.

Prayer To St. Joseph

To Thee, O Blessed Joseph, we have recourse in our affliction, and having implored the help of thy thrice holy Spouse, we now with hearts filled with confidence earnestly beg thee also to take us under thy protection.

Dear Lady of Perpetual Help, Spotless Mother of God, we choose Thee as the Mistress and Lady of this House. Guard it, dearest Mother, from pestilence, lightning, fire and tempest, from earthquake, hurricanes, schisms and heresies, and the malice of enemies (include other petitions of protection specific to you and family members- impurity, air raids, depression, drug addiction, anger, famine...). Protect those who dwell herein most loving Mother, watch over their going out and coming in, and preserve them from sudden death. Keep us from all sin and harm and pray for us, that we may serve God faithfully here and afterwards enjoy with Thee for evermore the blissful vision of His Face. Amen.

 

August Queen of Heaven

 

August Queen of the Heavens, heavenly Sovereign of the Angels, Thou who from the beginning hast received from God the power and the mission to crush the head of Satan, we humbly beseech Thee to send thy holy legions, so that under Thy command and through Thy power, they may pursue the demons and combat them everywhere, suppress their boldness, and drive them back into the abyss. O good and tender Mother, Thou wilt always be our love and hope! O Divine Mother, send Thy Holy Angels to defend us and to drive far away from us the cruel enemy. Consecration of a Family to the Mother of God

O Blessed Virgin, Immaculate Queen of Heaven, Mother of Sorrows, refuge and comfort of all the afflicted! Kneeling before your throne with all my family, I choose you as our Mistress, Mother, and Advocate with God. I consecrate myself and all belonging to me forever to your service, and I implore you, O Mother of God, to number us among your servants. Take us under your protection, assist us during life and especially at the hour of death. Mother of Mercy, I choose you as the Lady and Mistress of my entire household: my parents, my spouse, my children, my cares, and my duties. Disdain not to take charge of them, and direct everything as seems good to you. Bless us all, and permit not that anyone of us should ever offend your Son. Protect us in temptation, preserve us in danger, help us in trouble, counsel us in doubt, assist us in sickness, and especially at the hour of death. Permit not the evil one to boast that anyone of us now consecrated to you has ever fallen into his net. God of goodness and mercy, we commend to thy all-powerful protection our home, our family and all that we possess. Bless us all as thou didst bless the holy family of Nazareth.

Prayer for Peace and Unity

 

Thou seest, Lord, how on every side the storms have broken loose and the seas rage with wildly tossing waves; O do thou, we beseech Thee, who alone canst command the winds and the sea, give back to mankind the true peace which the world cannot give--the tranquility of order. Let all men, by Thy gift and guidance, return to that just order, subjecting their passions to reason, establishing the reign of piety towards God, of justice and charity towards their neighbor, of temperance within themselves. May Thy kingdom come! May those also, who, far away from Thee, vainly seek for truth and salvation, learn to understand the need of serving and obeying Thee. For Thy laws are wholly just and full of fatherly mildness; and to observe them Thou freely givest us power in Thy own strength.
